Some of these schools may have since changed names, merged with other schools, or closed altogether. Some of these schools you probably will not recognize. I would greatly appreciate information about football helmets used by varsity teams that may not be seen below.

Barnesville-Rothsay were paired together and known as the Agassiz Valley Thunder. They played home games in Barnesville, and were part of the Heart O Lakes Conference, and a member of Section 6AA. In 2007 the became Barnesville-Rothsay Trojans and now play in the Northern Plains Conference AA. Thanks to Jeremy Z. for this information.

In 1991 Battle Lake and Henning merged to form Ottertail Central (Prairie Conference). There were Columbia Blue numbers on the back of the helmets.

I have recieved some conflicting information from some viewers wether this (1) helmet was ever used. If anyone has more information, please let me know.

Bloomington High School opened in the early 1920's. In 1957, Bloomington joined the Lake Conference after previously being in the Minnesota Valley Conference. The name change to Lincoln took place in 1965 when the second Bloomington high school (Kennedy) opened. Jefferson opened in 1970, giving Bloomington three high schools through the 1970's and early 1980's. Lincoln closed following the 1981-82 school year, due to dropping enrollment numbers in the Bloomington school district. Bloomington has had two schools (Jefferson and Kennedy) since the fall of 1982.

Henderson high school football has a long tradition, with a documented team organized as early as 1901. Henderson discontinued its football program with the end of the 1985-86 school year. For the years 1986 through 1989 Henderson was paired with Arlington-Green Isle, forming the “Sibley East Bengals”. In 1990 Henderson consolidated its school district/varsity athletic teams with LeSueur to form LeSueur-Henderson.
